WHO WE ARE

The Digital Exploration Team is a partnership between the Unified Fire Department and the Safety Region of Rotterdam-Rijnmond.

 
In 2018, the team started as a drone team. Over time, a need arose for multiple forms of unmanned and digital exploration. That is why the name of the team was changed to Team Digital Exploration in 2021. The team is deployed on average twice a week.​

 

A partnership has been entered into with the Netherlands Fire Brigade for the use ot outdoor drones. As a result, it is flown as "state aircraft" under the national decision of the fire service in the Netherlands. The fire brigade in the Netherlands has a total of 6 drone teams.
